Home Improvement Process:

Getting Started
  1. Gather a folder of notes, photos, and articles that you have collected.
  2. Get together with your family and ask them for their input and wish lists.
  3. Come up with a budget you can live with.
  4. If you feel comfortable, draw a rough sketch of your floor plan and take measurements of the usable wall area. Include windows and doors. Measure the overall width of the window or door including the casing. Measure the wall space between the casing (or, if building, get floor plan from architect or builder).
  5. If you would like, print and fill out the Kitchen Planning Guide.
  6. Call us to make an appointment or stop into our showroom.
Visiting our Showroom
The first time you stop into our showroom we will:
  1. Answer any questions you may have.
  2. Review and/or assist you in establishing a budget.
  3. Discuss your ideas.
  4. Discuss your floor plan (if you have one) and go over some design ideas.
  5. Discuss your plans for utilizing the room you will be remodeling.
If You Like What You See and Hear
  1. We will come to your home and take measurements.
  2. We will create a design and draft elevations and a floor plan.
  3. We will provide you with a complete price including remodeling and installation.
  4. We will set up a meeting for you to discuss the design and pricing and discuss any potential modifications you would like to make.
The Installation Process
  1. Detail Kitchens will provide mechanical and electrical plan drawings, prepare all applications, schedule all required inspections, and act as your agent in securing the necessary building permits and bonds to complete your remodeling project.
  2. Detail Kitchens will remove the existing cabinets, counter tops and appliances, and perform all necessary remodeling in preparation for the installation of your new cabinetry. We use only licensed, bonded, and insured professional trade’s people to perform work in your home. Our cabinet installers have been with us for 20 years plus and are meticulous when it comes to the installation of our cabinetry and finished moldings.
  3. To insure a quality installation of your new cabinetry, should you be working with a contractor or builder, we strongly recommend that Detail Kitchens’ team of experts install your cabinetry. However, should you decide to have the contractor perform the installation we will be happy to meet their installer to discuss the details of your plan and installation.
